Straighten your teeth discreetly with Invisalign
Have you wanted to straighten your teeth, but been worried about the appearance of traditional metal braces?
Well check out Invisalign clear aligners, the discreet, comfortable and removable option available at Bite Dental Studio.
The Invisalign process
At Bite Dental Studios, you will have an initial consultation with Dr Julia, where she will decide whether you are an appropriate patient for Invisalign.
You will also have to have any outstanding or required dental treatment done before you can begin the process.
3D scans of bite
If you are suitable for Invisalign treatment, you will have 3D scans taken of your mouth that will be used to make your personal Invisalign aligner trays.
These scans will also be used in ClinCheck, which is a software that will map out your entire Invisalign treatment journey. This treatment map will show the movements of your teeth at every step and give you a preview of the finished result.
The benefits of this software is that it calculates the exact amount of force required to achieve your straighter smile in the most efficient way possible.
Once Dr Julia is satisfied with the scans of your teeth, they will be sent off to Invisalign who will make your aligner trays.
Your Invisalign aligners are fabricated
Once your aligner trays have been made and received by Bite Dental Studio, we will arrange for you to come in for your next consultation.
During this consultation, Dr Julia will ensure that your aligners fit properly and provide you with around three sets of aligners. Don’t worry if your aligners feel uncomfortable during the first day or two, this is normal and the pain is far less than any other orthodontic treatment.
You will be required to wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks, before progressing onto the next set.
Each aligner tray is designed to move your teeth a little bit at a time, which prepares them for the next sequential aligner tray.
During your Invisalign treatment, you will be required to come into Bite Dental Studio every four to six weeks for a checkup.
The aim of these appointments is to ensure that your Invisalign treatment is moving your smile as outlined by the ClinCheck software.
You will also receive more sequential sets of aligners.
Benefits of choosing Invisalign
- Virtually invisible - Your aligners are made of clear plastic, which means they are far discreeter than other orthodontic devices.
- Removable - You can remove your aligners for drinking, cleaning and eating; allowing you to take a short break. They can also be removed for important photos.
- Comfortable - There are no bulky metal braces with brackets and wires in the way.
Compliance is key
Since Invisalign aligners are removable, patients are responsible for how well their treatment goes. It’s important to wear your aligners as required.
You should wear your Invisalign aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day and each tray for approximately two weeks for best results. There are also blue compliance indicators available to help ensure you wear your aligners each day.
Failure to be compliant may result in your treatment either taking longer to give you your desired smile or the treatment being inefficient and unsuccessful.
