What is dermal filler?
Dr Axell only uses cosmetic-grade fillers, which are also reversible. By injecting a small amount of enzyme, the filler can be broken down if needed. This means if there is something the client doesn’t like, or there is a reaction, the filler can be dissolved. Dr Axell has never had to use the enzyme for any of his patients, but he very often reverses and corrects the sub-standard results done by other injectors.
How can I relieve my excess sweating?
Excessive sweating can affect any body part, including the underarms, the palms, the soles of the feet, and the face.
Until now, most treatments for excessive sweating were often ineffective, short-acting or had significant risks. For those suffering from excessive sweating, these treatments give them new hope where previous therapies have failed before.
By blocking the release of acetylcholine, which activates the sweat glands, muscle relaxant can relieve excessive sweating. Previous treatments for excessive sweating for the underarms were often ineffective and short-acting or were associated with significant risks.
Studies have shown that 80 to 95% of patients respond to one treatment session (Naumann 2001; Lowe 2003; Naumann 2003).
How could muscle relaxant treatment help my headaches, jaw tension, and teeth grinding?
TMD or Temporomandibular Joint Disorder is an acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ; the joint connecting the lower jaw to the skull). The disorder and resultant dysfunction results in significant pain and impairment for many.
Increasingly, muscle relaxing injections are used as an alternative treatment for TMJ disorders, migraines, jaw tension and pain. This often reduces headaches resulting from teeth grinding and muscle spasm.

Frequently asked questions
What are muscle relaxers?
Muscle relaxers are special formulas that can be injected into certain areas of the face in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The formula can used around the eyes to treat crow's feet, and between the eyebrows to treat frown lines. The treatment can also be used to relieve headaches and jaw pain, and to treat excessive sweating.
How do muscle relaxers work?
Muscle relaxers work by blocking nerve signals and muscle contractions for a period of time. This in turn helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and also slows down the development of new lines by preventing the facial muscles from contracting. During each treatment, the formula is injected into the facial muscles, and each session typically takes around ten minutes to complete.
What does a muscle relaxer procedure involve?
It is a non-surgical treatment, and usually only takes around ten minutes to complete. It is important to let us know if you have any allergies or medical conditions before we begin. The treatment area will be cleaned before the formula is injected into the facial muscles. You may need around three to five injections per treatment area in each session to ensure the best possible results.
