Babies and Toddlers: Clean baby’s teeth by wiping with a soft cloth or brushing with a small soft toothbrush and water. Introduce fluoridated toothpaste from 18 months—only rice grain size.
Young children: Brush in small circles along the gum line with a small, soft bristled toothbrush. Children will need help with brushing up to 7 or 8 years of age. Let kids try first before you step in. Give lots of encouragement.
Teens: Aim brush at a 45° angle towards the gum line with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. Use a circular motion on the both sides of teeth with a light back and forth motion on the chewing surfaces. Be sure to floss before or after brushing.
