Do the six to avoid the sicks

To keep your mouth healthy, clean and refreshed the Bite Team recommends visits every six months.

From our perspective, it allows us to detect any problems at the earliest stage possible.

A check-up and clean involves a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth. We look for the typical cavities, but also for signs of gum disease or early stage cancers. We might request x-rays if we need to assess your teeth condition below the gum line.

Such a regular but comprehensive check ensures issues are identified and dealt with simply-—before they can turn into painful and highly expensive medicals issues. No one we’ve met yet, enjoys the news of surgery or permanent treatment options.

What can happen if I miss my six-monthly check-ups?

Even with the most diligent oral hygiene routine, there are still areas that are missed by regular brushing and flossing.

A small cavity is quite easy and inexpensive to restore. But, if left for months or years, seemingly minor dental issues can progress quickly, escalating the treatment needed, the costs, and the complexity of outcomes.

More serious consequences of skipping your six monthly check-ups are heightened risks for heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure! We certainly don’t wish those on anyone.

I haven’t been in for a long time.

We always aim to remind our friends of when their visits are due, but we understand that sometimes life gets in the way and its easy to skip a visit. If you haven’t been in for a while, don’t worry, we don’t judge. Our goal is to see you healthy and smiling.

If you haven’t been in a while, connect with us now and let’s get it sorted.
