Who is Dr Axell?

The the most important point and the part that you can’t put a price-tag on, is who is doing the injecting!

We only use our fully qualified Dr Axell Jones who specializes in cosmetics. We never use nurses, the vast majority of other clinics will be using nurse injectors. Our doctor is highly experienced and a full-time cosmetic doctor. He is focused only on cosmetics and does not split his attention to any other specialties. Even for clients who have been getting cosmetic injectables for a long time, Dr Axell will likely have a range of fantastic treatment options they never knew existed.

Using his expertise Dr Axell gets more results using the same amount of product compared to other injectors. Very importantly, he will always keep the clients results looking very natural-looking. The over-done look some people have is generally because of a poorly-skilled, or money orientated injector who wont say ‘no’ to a inappropriate treatment. Our clients who have been to other clinics in the past consistently say that Dr Axell’s techniques are the most comfortable they have ever had. Clients rate the discomfort during the treatments as very low, usually 0-3 out of 10.

Dr Axell is the founder of the Cosmedoctors, Australia non-surgical cosmetic doctors network. Dr Axell is a fulltime cosmetic physician and has gained experience in many surgical fields including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, plastics and general surgery. His primary focus and dedication is to non-surgical cosmetic injectables for facial contouring et rejuvenation, volume replacement et correction and wrinkle reductions.

What is an anti-wrinkle treatment?

Dr Axell’s prices are very competitive, but the way his competitors advertise can make it very confusing.

He doesn’t claim or try to be the cheapest. Instead he’s focused on offering only the best. Remember, this is your face we’re talking about—its not the place you want to try and skimp on $50 difference for example. Only genuine Botox is used not Dysport, which is a cheaper anti-wrinkle injection. The Dysport dose/units are around 2.5 times weaker than genuine Botox. So when comparing the prices of “units” Dysport may look extremely cheap per unit, but really you have to multiply that by 2.5 To get the rough equivalent of Botox. Studies have shown that Dysport does not last as long, has a higher rate of side effects like droopy eyebrow and has a lower patient satisfaction rate on the results.

What is a dermal filler?

Dr Axell only uses Juvederm fillers. These are the most popular fillers in Australia and the world.

They last around twice as long as the cheaper fillers. The Restalyn and Perlane fillers are the common alternatives. These alternatives generally last half as long, and can have a tendency to form lumps which can be felt in the tissue, and can sometimes never disappear. The dermal fillers are generally advertised per 1ml, but other clinics often advertise things like “lips for $199” so they appear very cheap, but that will likely only be the price for 0.5Ml. The fillers we use are also reversible. By injecting a small amount of enzyme, the filler can be broken down if needed. This means if there is something the client doesn’t like, or there is a reaction, the filler can be dissolved. Dr Axell has never had to use the enzyme for any of his patients, but he is very often reversing and correcting the sub-standard results done by other injectors.

How can I relieve my excess sweating?

Excessive sweating can affect any body part, including the underarms, the palms, the soles of the feet, and the face.

Until now, most treatments for excessive sweating were often ineffective, short acting or had significant risks. For those suffering from excessive sweating, Botox treatments give them new hope where previous therapies have failed before.

By blocking the release of acetylcholine, which activates the sweat glands, Botox can relieve excessive sweating. Previous treatments for excessive sweating for the underarms were often ineffective and short-acting, or were associated with significant risks.

Studies have shown that 80 to 95% of patients respond to one treatment session (Naumann 2001; Lowe 2003; Naumann 2003).

How could Botox treatment help my headaches, jaw tension, and teeth grinding?

TMD or Temporomandibular Joint Disorder is an acute or chronic inflammation of the tempromandibular joint (TMJ; the joint connecting the lower jaw to the skull).

The disorder and resultant dysfunction results in significant pain and impairment for many.
Increasingly, Botox injections are used as an alternative treatment for TMJ disorders, migraines, jaw tension and pain. Botox often reduces headaches resulting from teeth grinding and muscle spasm.
